Wild animals belong in the wild.
Let’s keep them Forever Wild!

Join a global movement to stop wildlife trafficking and protect animals in the wild.

THE PROBLEM

Wildlife trafficking and the exotic pet trade are among the most overlooked conservation crises of our time.

Every year, thousands of animals are removed from their natural habitats—causing suffering, disrupting ecosystems, and increasing risks for human health.

“Behind every exotic pet, there is a hidden chain of harm”.

FROM GLOBAL VISION TO LOCAL ACTION

ForeverWild is the global flagship campaign of the Jane Goodall Institute, working to end wildlife trafficking, particularly the harm caused to chimpanzees and other great apes.

Its mission is to end international wildlife crime through awareness, education, and advocacy.

Global → Awareness → Education → Advocacy → Action

WHAT IS GENWILD?

GenWild is a global campaign that brings the ForeverWild vision into action.

It addresses wildlife trafficking and the exotic pet trade through education, advocacy, and community-based action.

GenWild empowers young people, educators, and communities to understand the impacts of illegal wildlife trafficking on biodiversity, animal welfare, and human health.

Grounded in the Roots & Shoots approach, it connects knowledge with empathy and action.
