Roots & Shoots Tanzania have collaborated with Cultural Heritage Center, Miracle Experience, E motion and HANSPAUL to create a wonderful experience for youth from the Roots & Shoots groups in Tanzania. Miracle Experience and Roots & Shoots Tanzania will continue the partnership over a 2 year period.
Youth from Roots & Shoots were transported in electric safari vehicles, and learnt more about the importance of E vehicles in sustainable tourism. HANSPAUL and E Motion assisted in transporting the groups to their facility and conducting the informational tour. The launch event took place at the Cultural Heritage Hub where youth participated in a training workshop. Dr Jane was present for the launch celebration, and gave an inspirational speech. The Cultural Heritage Centre hosted the event, and is also the home of the Jane Goodall Musuem in Arusha.
Miracle Experience, a tour operator based in the Serengeti, offered the opportunity for Roots & Shoots youth to embark on an educational safari where they learnt about environmental conservation while experiencing a safari in electric vehicles. Youth were also able to experience a hot air balloon ride and enjoyed a bush lunch prepared sustainably in the middle of the wilderness!
Further inspirational trips will for additional Roots & Shoots groups will be arranged in the near.
